As posted on Publishing Frontier, they believe that the Kindle will have a negative effect on physical books sales, predicting that people will buy less
…because the architecture and business model for the Kindle support a “buy only when you need it” frame of mind, aka “just in time” inventory management.
As the majority of the world will not be able to fork out $359 on a Kindle, they will be sticking to the good old hardback books, where as those whose are fortunate enough to own a Kindle, will make the most of it, by purchasing as much as they can to justify that hefty price tag!
Win win??
