Fictional characters having their own books

When reading we always create our own images, in our mind of how characters are depicted. The best fictional characters are those who we like closely to oursleves of have a significant resemblance to us. We then like to read up more about these characters.

Well there are several books which have done this.

I found this article on how fictional characters (such as JK Rowling’s ‘The tale of the Beedle Bard’ - where a fairy tale book in the Harry Potter series) have transformed into their own books.
